Plans for new track in Germany
Autosport reports that there are plans for a track around the grounds of the castle in Schwerin, Germany. The men behind these plans are Thomas Schuster (from ex V8-star) and Norbert Claussen (mayor of Schwerin). “The more I conseder it the more realistic it became. We are planning a two-mile track using existing roads within the castle grounds.
We would only have to build two new sections,” Norbert said. The goal for the plans are to get a WTCC race in 2006. But there is still a far way to go. They haven´t met with the WTCC organisers and the local government of the region is most likely to oppose the project. Stay tuned for more information on the subject.
