WTCC rounds for Jason Plato

Jason Plato will race a few rounds of the WTCC this year for SEAT. As we recently reported Jason has signed a long time contract with SEAT and will for 2005 drive full time in the BTCC. But along side that Plato will race up to five rounds of the WTCC. “Running four cars is clearly an advantage, but we have had a budget problem.

We are looking at ways of using what we already have: we have a good driver in Jason and there is a test car avalible, so now it´s up to us to make it happen,” SEAT Motorsport boss Jamie Puig said.

Plato is excited about the opportunity for him to drive a couple of WTCC races. “This is also an pooprtunity for me to race against the best touring car drivers in the world. The opposition in the BTCC is very credible but it would be good to go up against some of the big names in the WTCC,” Jason said.
