Monza Qualifying

The first WTCC poleposition of the year went to Germany. BMW driver Dirk Müller took the pole with the time 1:59.009. And he wasn´t alone BMW driver in the top, his team mate Jörg Müller took second place 0.3 seconds behind. The Spaniard Antonio Garcia made the joy complete at BMW by taking third position making it BMW 1-2-3.

Best non-BMW driver was the Italian Gabriele Tarquini. He took fourth position in his Alfa Romeo 156 0.7 seconds behind Dirk Müller. With the track now completely dry the Alfa Romeo´s gained some speed, Augusto Farfus Jr. took fifth place behind Tarquini. The best SEAT-man today was Jordi Gené who just outqualified his team mate Rickard Rydell. The SEAT-drivers took seventh and eight position respectively right behind ETCC champion Andy Priaulx.

Unfortiunately for Roberto Colciago his best time has been disallowed. No information have been released yet, so stay tuned! Best privateer driver was the German Marc Hennerici in 13:th position. Sweden´s Carl Rosenblad took second position in the privateers grid with Andrea Larini behind him. Best of the newcomers Chevrolet and Ford was the young-gun Robert Huff. He took 21:st position and was ahead of his both team mates Alain Menu and Nicola Larini. Best Ford Focus driver was Thomas Jäger with his team mate Thomas Klenke right behind in 27:th and 28:th position.
