No Ford in Mexico

Ford will not be at the coming WTCC round in Mexico. Since the cars would be away for more than six weeks because of the race, Ford have decided to develop the cars further in Europe instead.

Ford´s European motorsport boss, Jost Capito, said to Autosport: “We do not have two sets of everything, so when the cars are in transit, we cannot test. At this stage of the programme it is better to spend two months testing than going to Mexico.”
