Engström to join Valencia race

STCC Honda-driver Tomas Engström will join WTCC at Valencia, Spain. Tomas will drive his own car but in JAS colours. This weekend Engström drives the STCC finale at Mantorp, right after that his car will be sent to Italy to be prepared by JAS.

“It feels good, especially that we extend the co-operation with JAS. They handle everything (at Valencia), we only have to bring two mechanics. They are very eager for me to drive,” Engström said.

Engström last drove in WTCC at the Monza series premiere. The WTCC race at Valencia will be his penultimate outing for this season, the final race for him will be at the European Touring Car Cup race which will be held at Vallelunga.
