León ready for Rydell & Terting
SEAT Sport team is stepping up again to a four-car line-up for their home race in Valencia. While the team’s three regular drivers Jordi Gené, Rickard Rydell and Peter Terting will all be at the wheel of the new León (it will be the first time for Rydell and Terting), Marc Carol will make his debut in a Toledo Cupra.
The 20-year old from Barcelona, Carol was the 2004 champion in the Spanish SEAT León Supercopa and this participation in the WTCC Race of Spain with the assistance of the SEAT Sport it´s part of his prize for winning last the title.
SEAT Sport director Jaime Puig said: “I´m pleased that a driver who showed his talents in the León Supercopa last year can now race in the FIA WTCC with the support of the SEAT Sport team; it´s something we plan to do again with the winner of this year´s Supercopa. There´s no pressure on Marc whatsoever – we just want him to enjoy the experience!”
