No Brilliance

The Chinese manufacturer Brilliance announced plans in the fall of 2004 that they were going to enter WTCC. The plan then was to enter the championship in 2005 with the British entrepreneur and former BTCC driver, John Batchelor as team leader.

But from then until now many unfortunate events have stopped the Chinese manufacturer from ever coming to the track.

A standard road-going Brilliance was ready for the WTCC launch in Monaco last year, but that was as far as it went. The WTCC-organisation confirms that they have heard nothing today about any further plans from Brilliance. And there is nothing indicating that they will enter WTCC anymore.

Lets hope that Lada does not repeat this as the Russian manufacturer is working hard on a already delayed programme.
