Huisman to WTCC
Duncan Huisman will replace Marcel Costa at BMW Italy-Spain. Husiman is currently driving in STCC for West Coast Racing and will now have both STCC and WTCC on his hands. The reason for Costa being removed is said to be his results, four DNF in eight races.
According to Autosport.nl – Huisman will drive the remaining WTCC-races for BMW Italy-Spain. He will drive the new BMW 320si, a car that he only has tested before. In the STCC he drives the older version of the BMW 3-series, called E46.
– Last summer I tested the new car during three days for BMW and helped them with the development work. But the finished race car that I will drive is completely different, Huisman said to Autosport.nl.
Huisman will have a hectic schedule between WTCC and STCC races. At least one race date collides between the both series, on July the 30:th WTCC runs at Puebla in Mexico and STCC runs at Våler in Norway.
