Geipel joins WTCC at Brno

Young German driver Philip Geipel will make his FIA WTCC debut at Brno. Geipel, 19-year old from Plauen, will be at the wheel of a TFS-Yaco Racing Team Toyota Corolla T-Sport, the very same car he is regularly racing in the German ADAC Procar Series.

Only on his third car racing season, Geipel is currently lying third in the ADAC Procar’s Division 1, having claimed five podium results.

As a new driver to join the championship, Geipel will be imposed a 20-kg automatic handicap weight as per art. 79 a) of the FIA WTCC Sporting Regulations.
