SEAT & Chevrolet want Puebla out

SEAT and Chevrolet want the Mexican track Puebla removed from the World Touring Car Championship calendar. The two makes have put forward their dissatisfaction to WTCC boss Marcello Lotti after the race which took place in August. They want it removed and another track in Mexico to be used.

“I have said to Marcello, Mexico, “yes”, Puebla, “no”. The second event this year was worse than the first in 2005 and that is not acceptable,” Chevrolet Europe motorsport boss Eric Neve told Autosport.

SEAT has sent a letter to the WTCC organisation suggesting that the the track should be switched to Monterrey or Mexico City.
