Rydell likely to stay with SEAT
Despite earlier indications of Rickard Rydell being on the way out from SEAT – it now looks as if the Swede will continue in the team another season. The plan for the Spanish manufacturer is to reduce the number of cars from six to four or three.
“I want to stay and we have come to an understanding. If SEAT runs four cars I will be in one of them,” Rydell said to Expressen.
Peter Terting is most likely one of the drivers that will leave the team for next season. Two drivers already have a continued contract for next season, Yvan Müller and Gabriele Tarquini.
“SEAT has two drivers signed for 2007 and they also want a Spanish driver in the team. The problem is that SEAT has not confirmed how things will look next year, not even if they will participate in the WTCC,” Rydell said.
