STCC teams to WTCC in 2007

The two Swedish Touring Car Championship teams Polestar Racing, Volvo, and Flash Engineering, BMW, are looking at doing a couple of WTCC races next season. The Volvo team recently announced that they are going to run their cars on Bio-ethanol E85. Flash Engineering are also looking on converting their BMW 320si E90’s to E85.

The WTCC-organisation recently announced that both Polestar and Flash Engineering are evaluating the possibility of taking part in some selected rounds of the WTCC 2007 season.

This would be the first ever bio-ethanol cars in the WTCC. So far no other S2000-spec cars have been converted to E85.
