Monteiro & Jourdain at Valencia

New to touring cars, Tiago Monteiro and Michel Jourdain are present at the World Touring Car Championship test at Valencia today. Both of them are testing for SEAT, looking to get a drive for this season.

“As a professional driver I have always interest to test new cars and teams who are racing in World Championships. This is a new experience and as I have no contract restrictions this opportunity come in the right time,” Monteiro said to Sportmotores.com.

“I believe that I have good chances to join SEAT for their 2007 campaign and I am very motivated. However, there are still some things to be defined and the final decision is up to SEAT Mexico,” Jourdain said.

Since the WTCC-organisation scrapped the Mexico race, things could be hard for the Mexican. Monteiro on the other hand does not have the backing from SEAT Portugal, according to our information. Instead it could be SEAT France that gets the job to finance his drive.
