BMW testing at Vallelunga

Three BMW teams completed a two-day test in Vallelunga on Wednesday and Thursday. The weather was sunny, with a dry track on the first day, but was spoiled by rain on the second. BMW Team Germany with Jörg Müller and Augusto Farfus and BMW Team Italy-Spain with Alessandro Zanardi and Félix Porteiro both completed the first test with their 2007 BMW 320si cars.

Farfus was reported to be a couple of tenths faster than his three fellow drivers.

Italian independent entrants Proteam Motorsport joined the test: Sergio Hernández drove on day one and was then replaced by Luca Rangoni.

Testing for WTCC teams will continue next week at Zandvoort from Monday 19th to Friday 23rd, Chevrolet (19th to 21st), BMW Team Germany (20th to 21st), BMW Team Italy-Spain (19th to 20th) and SEAT Sport (22nd to 23rd).
