Priaulx and BMW UK aim for a third title
With the start of the FIA WTCC season just a few days away, Britain’s double FIA World Touring Car Champion, Andy Priaulx, will be looking to rewrite motorsport history in his bid to become the only British racing driver ever to win three consecutive FIA world titles.
During a media event at City Golf Club in central London, Priaulx said: “The team has been working incredibly hard ahead of the season, the car feels great and I’m really looking forward to going out and competing again.
“It’s great to see the introduction of two extra races and some new circuits this season. I’ve always performed well on the streets of Macau so I’m especially excited about the added street circuits in Pau and Porto. To win a third world title would be incredible.”
The Crowne Plaza Hotels are the new partner of Priaulx and the BMW Team UK. “We’re immensely proud of Andy and all that he has already achieved.
We are excited to welcome Crowne Plaza on board as the primary team partner for what promises to be a thrilling season in pursuit of both a driver and manufacturers’ world championship hat trick,” commented Peter Walker, General Manager Sports and Marketing of BMW UK commented.
