Monteiro prepares for SEAT debute

From Monday to Wednesday, the SEAT Sport team completed three days of testing at Barcelona’s Circuit de Catalunya. Jordi Gené, Gabriele Tarquini, Yvan Muller and Michel Jourdain were joined by Tiago Monteiro who took part in his first test as SEAT works driver in view of his WTCC debut at Zandvoort.

“It was an important occasion, because my previous test in Valencia was only a recognition, with no need to look at the lap times. This time it was serious, about working with the engineers on the set up and getting to know the car,” said the former Formula 1 driver from Portugal. “The most difficult task is to adapt myself to the front-wheel drive and to take the most out of the new tyres. It will take a lot of hard work.”
