Weights for cars changed once again

The FIA Touring Car Bureau took four different decision to adjust the cars’ weight for the next WTCC race meeting in Zandvoort. Before the season all rear wheel drive cars got minus fifteen kilos, something SEAT was very unpleased with. This decision will remain, but front wheel drive cars will have their weights reduced even more.

– The Bureau extended the decision taken before the season’s opening at Curitiba, granting all rear wheel drive cars a reduction of 15 kilos, this decision will remain in force until further notice.

– For the Zandvoort event only, all Alfa Romeo, Chevrolet and SEAT cars will benifit from a reduction of 25 kilos.

– Until further notice, all the BMW 320i E46 cars will benifit from a reduction of 15 kilos.

– Until further notice, all the BMW 320si E90 cars in 2006 specifications will benifit from a reduction of 15 kilos.

Alfa Romeo: 1140 kg – 25 kg = 1115 kg
