No Swedish Chevrolet in Sweden

The Swedish Chevrolet team will not take part in the Swedish round of the World Touring Car Championship at Anderstorp this coming weekend.
“We will focus 100% on the Swedish Touring Car Championship,” said Karlsson.

The team has taken part in two STCC races so far and failed to start either of them mainly due to a lack of spareparts. In their debute race at Anderstorp engine trouble stopped them and at Falkenberg a visit to the barriers stopped them
“We know that we have the capacity, so it is a shame that we have not been able to show this in the race,” said Karlsson.

Due to this the team have decided to scrap their earlier plans to take part in the Swedish WTCC-race. The goal for the remaining four STCC races is a podium.
“After the STCC summer break we will be back at Gelleråsen. The goal is a podium this year and then go for wins in 2008,” said Karlsson.
