SEAT keeps Müller and Tarquini for 2008

SEAT has confirmed Yvan Müller and Gabriele Tarquini for the World Touring Car Championship next year. Both drivers joined the team last year when they signed a two year contract. Now SEAT have extended their contract for another season.
“If you have drivers who are doing a good job for the team it makes sense to keep them,” said SEAT Sport director to Autosport.

As for more SEAT drivers next year – according to our informations two names are on the list – Tiago Monteiro and Rickard Rydell. Monteiro pays for his drive in the SEAT team this year, in the region of 700.000 € in sponsorship and will most likely stay for next year.

Recent indications also point out ex-SEAT-driver Rickard Rydell. The Swede has been without a works drive since 2006 when he left SEAT. This year he drove a single race, Anderstorp, for Chevrolet in the WTCC when he scored a controversial win. According to our information the Swede could be on the way back to SEAT for the 2008 season.
