Couto to replace Tielemans for Macau?

According to our information Andre Couto will drive the World Touring Car Championship finale for Alfa Romeo. Olivier Tielemans is to be replaced due to his lack of experience of Macau, something that Couto on the other hand does have.

Couto has previously driven for Alfa Romeo at Macau. This year he has been out of the touring car scene so far and instead been driving GT Racing with a Lexus in Super GT-series.

The race at Macau is most likely the last for Alfa Romeo in the World Touring Car Championship. Their commitment with the WTCC organization runs out this year and according to our information no new car will be build or run in the WTCC 2008. But still the manufacturer is reported to be interested in joining the championship in the future.
