Couto will replace Tielemans at Macau!

The rumor we reported about earlier now is confirmed – Andre Couto will replace Olivier Tieleman at Alfa Romeo for the World Touring Car Championship finale at Macau in one week. Couto last raced in 2005 for Alfa Romeo when he was leading the race before crashing out. The main task for the Italian is to support James Thompson in the championship fight.

“It’s quite amazing for such a small squad to be in this position against the likes of BMW, Chevrolet and SEAT. This team are very clever with their equipment and I hope I can give them some insight into the particular demands of Macau, although they have already had a lot of success here,” said Couto to Autosport.
