Choo to drive two WTCC rounds next year

Asia Touring Car Series driver Melvin Choo will take part in two World Touring Car Championship rounds next year. Choo has bought the BMW 320si S2000 that Félix Porteiro drove in the WTCC 2007.
“BMW Motorsport has a very good customer racing support, which made me decide that the BMW 320si was the best option if I wanted to be competitive,” said Choo.

Choo finished third in the ATCS’s second division this year in a Honda Integra. Next year Choo will continue in the ATCS and will also take part in the Japanese and Macau race of WTCC 2008.

“It is a learning curve for me in motor racing and with the WTCC, I’ll be competing in a series which has some of the best touring car drivers in the world and this would give me an opportunity to gauge myself and learn from the best!”
