Bureau authorize six test sessions

The FIA Touring Car Bureau have decided to authorize a 30-minute private test session on the occasion of six of this season’s FIA World Touring Car Championship 2008 race meetings. The tests will take place in Brazil, Mexico, Spain, Portugal, Japan and finally China for the Macau race.

Calendar of private test sessions

Friday, February 28th Curitiba, Brazil

Friday, April 4th Puebla-Amozoc, Mexico

Friday, May 16th Valencia, Spain

Friday, July 11th Estoril, Portugal

Friday, October 24th Okayama, Japan

Thursday, November 13th Macau, China

These test sessions have been authorized in order to grant the competitors some extra time to test and check their cars after they were shipped to the non European racetracks (Curitiba, Puebla, Okayama and Macau) and back to Europe (Valencia is the first European event of the season). But also to enable them to get used to the new venues (Estoril and Okayama).
