Poulsen Msport confirms three WTCC-races

The Danish team Poulsen Motorsport have confirmed their plans to enter three races of the World Touring Car Championship this year.
“The WTCC races that we are planning to enter are Estoril, Brands Hatch and Oschersleben,” said team manager Niels Jørgen Iversen.

Besides the three WTCC-races the team will run full Danish Touring Car Championship season.

“The last of the three races are quite close to the DTC race at Sturup, but we will probably manage it anyway, as the transport back isn’t that time consuming. If the truck departs Oschersleben on Sunday evening, it will be at our workshop by Monday morning, and then we will have two days to prepare before heading off to Sweden. It will of course be problematic, if we will be getting major damages, but now we will see.”

Poulsen Motorsport host an impressive five BMW 320si E90. So far only three drivers are confirmed: Kristian Poulsen, Michel Nykjær and Jesper Sylvest.

“We are still working on striking a deal with Emmet O’Brien, who raced for us in Italy, but we might elect not to field the last car with a regular driver,” Niels Jørgen Iversen says. “Maybe we will just be using it for the WTCC races, and then perhaps rent it out on a race-by-race basis in the DTC, as several drivers have shown interest in doing so.”
