Corthals aims for indy title in 2008

Pierre-Yves Corthals will continue for Exagon Engineering in the World Touring Car Championship 2008. This is the second year the Belgian driver is driving for the team and the car will also remain the same – SEAT Léon petrol.
“It seems like I will be SEAT’s only representative in the Independents’ Trophy against a bunch of BMW drivers,” said Corthals.

Corthals finished third in the independents championship last year and is aiming for the title in 2008.

“I claimed three victories in 2007 and only a few mishaps, especially some race incidents of which I was not responsible, prevented me from doing better. Last year the team and I have gained a lot of experience and we definitely intend to benefit from that to try and win the title,” said Corthals.
