Team Engstler presented to press

The new team of Franz Engstler, that will compete in the 2008 World Touring Car Championship has presented itself to the press this week in Germany. At a fairytale castle, Schloß Neuschwanstein, the team announced their engagement to the WTCC was like a fairytale coming true. The team will be entered as Liqui Moly Team Engstler and will be running two BMW’s.

“We’ve chosen to do the presentation of the team at this castle, because our engagement to the WTCC is like a fairytale”, team mananger Kurt Treml said at the presentation. Engstler Motorsport was founded 14 years ago. “We never believed that this could be achieved and exactly that symbolizes this castle with every single stone.”

One of the teams drivers will be owner Franz Engstler, who already has years of experience in international races and has achieved many successes. “I know I can build on my mechanics. With our reputation I want to get onto the podium this year”, Engstler said.
