Ballast weights for the top ten drivers

The new World Touring Car Championship ballast system for 2008 comes in to action for the second race in Mexico on April the 6th. The top ten drivers have been awarded success weight after their results during the premiere in Brazil. Race winners and SEAT-team mates Yvan Muller and Gabriele Tarquini tops the list with 44 kilos each.

Reigning World Champion Andy Priaulx carries 10 kilos less in his BMW 320si.

Three other drivers will carry a minimum amount of success ballast according to the championship points they have scored: Augusto Farfus +3, Tom Coronel 2, Jordi Gené and Independent’s Trophy leader Olivier Tielemans +1.
