First test for S2000 Lada 110

It looks like the Lada 110 actually will make it to the World Touring Car Championship race at Valencia. The car was tested at Zandvoort yesterday with Viktor Shapovalov behind the wheel. Only six laps were completed before a visit to the gravel trap ended the day. Fortunately the car was not damaged seriously but did not drive any further laps.

The plan for the team, Russian Bears, is to run two cars in the WTCC for Shapovalov and Jaap van Lagen.

The team has no official backing from Lada but is continuing the work of the still-born previous officially backed WTCC Lada-project.

No times were released from the test day.
