Video from the Lada-test at Zandvoort

There are three weeks left until the World Touring Car Championship 2008 makes its Europe-debut at Valencia in Spain. The Russian Bears-perpared Lada 110 will also make its debut at that race with drivers Viktor Shapovalov and Jaap van Lagen. The team made their first test with the car at Zandvoort a few days ago with Shapovalov behind the wheel.

No times were released from the test and the team has admitted that they are going to be behind the rest of the field in their WTCC debut.

“I think it will be five seconds to slow at the start of the season. That’s frustrating. The car will be quicker and quicker throughout the season. Chevrolet was at the back of the grid as well four years ago,” said driver van Lagen about the car in an earlier interview.
