New rev limit for diesel cars

The Touring Car Bureau have once again changed the rules for the diesel engined SEAT-cars. For the race at Valencia and until further notice the engine speed of the diesel-powered cars will be limited to 4100 revs per minute. At the same time the previous changes for the diesel cars from Puebla are confirmed.

The changes for Puebla were limitation of the supercharged air pressure, the fuel rail pressure and the fuel/air ratio to the average maximum values measured with the FIA homologated data logger during the Curitiba event.

Two other decisions were also made, this time the BMW of Alessandro Zanardi and the N-Technology Honda of James Thompson. The minimum weight has been reduced for Zanardi with 15 kilos and the Touring Car Bureau have announced the possibility to adjust the weight of the Honda Accord at any time.
