Lada not allowed to score points

The Lada’s of Jaap van Lagen and Viktor Shapalov, who are making their race debute this weekend at Valencia, won’t be eligable to score points during the races. This decision was taken after the Lada 110 failed during scruteneering. The intake and the outlet ports of the cylinder head were not conform to the homologation form.

FIA officials discovered forbidden part on the new Lada’s, forcing them to take the decision to disqualify the Lada’s. However, after all teams agreed, the Lada’s will be allowed to take part in the race, only without any chance of scoring points.

The team, that was visited in Valencia by LADA Motorsport director Vladimir Guba, is due to make the needed adjustments in time for the next championship event, that will take place in two weeks at Pau.
