Oscar Nogués to drive a SEAT León at Pau

Oscar Nogués, championship leader in the SEAT Léon Eurocup, will drive in the next World Touring Car Championship round at Pau. The Spanish driver won the first race of the SEAT Léon Eurocup season at Valencia, and took second place in the second race at Valencia. As a reward he now gets a drive in a WTCC race with the SUNRED team at the French track in Pau, next June 1st.

Oscar Nogués will be the first driver to enjoy the prize of taking part in a race of the WTCC at the wheel of a SEAT León. “I’m very happy to be the first winner of the Eurocup, and being able to take part in a race of the world championship again is just wonderful”, Nogués said.

“It is true that the Pau racetrack is one of the most demanding and complicated since it doesn’t allow for any mistake, but I hope to be able to make a good race despite the high pace of the WTCC drivers”.

The next round of the SEAT Léon Eurocup championship will be raced in Pau as well and the winner will be participating in the WTCC race in Estoril on July 13th.
