Cazenave replaces Tielemans at Pau

Olivier Tielemans will not drive the World Touring Car Championship race at Pau this weekend. He will be replaced by Laurent Cazenave in the Wiechers-Sport BMW 320si.
“Tielemans cannot race in Pau because he is recovering from a minor health problem. Luckily we had the opportunity to make an agreement with Cazenave in such a short time,” Wiechers-Sport team manager Dominik Greiner said.

“We are happy with this, because we believe that the team will benefit a lot from his experience of the track.”

The 33-year old Cazenave has never before raced in the WTCC but has raced a lot on his home circuit Pau. He has achieved good results at the track in the French Super Production Championship and the FFSA GT Championship.
