Volvo to enter one car for Brands Hatch

TouringCarTimes have received information that the Swedish Touring Car Championship Volvo-team will take part in the World Touring Car Championship race at Brands Hatch later this month. Only one car is reported to be entered for their regular driver Robert Dahlgren.

The Volvo Polestar Racing-team introduced the Volvo C30 at the beginning of this season. The success has been limited in the races while Dahlgren has taken pole position three times.

Polestar has taken part in a WTCC race before. When the series visited Anderstorp last year Dahlgren ran the Volvo S60 in the race, but outside the points as their car was not conform with the regulations.

And the same goes for the new C30. It is build under national regulations and runs on bio-ethanol which most likely means that it will not be eligible to score points at Brands Hatch.
