Honda gets reduced weight again

The FIA Touring Car Bureau have made two changes that takes effect from the World Touring Car Championship race at Brands Hatch this weekend. The Honda Accord of James Thompson gets another 10 kilos reduced in the base weight. The second change is that the diesel cars now must have a catalytic converter and exhaust gas purification system in perfect working order at all times.

The diesel cars must not produce visible black smoke at any time during the event. The Bureau also clarified that, in case of decisions resulting in a reduction of the cars’ minimum weight, this weight may be subtracted from the total weight of the car including the success ballast.
