Comments after the qualifying session
TouringCarTimes is present at Oschersleben at the World Touring Car Championship race. Here are quotes from some of the drivers after the qualifying session.
“I do not know what happened! The car is not working. Gabriele (Tarquini) is second, so we have to work on the setup. We are going to make some changes during the warm up tomorrow,” said SEAT’s Yvan Muller.
Tom Coronel – SEAT Léon
“This track really suits me! I am surprised with my qualifying position, I expected to be eight or ninth. It is very close here, if I had been tow tenths slower I would have been in the middle of the field. But I have nothing to loose tomorrow. I am not a works driver and I am not a privateer. I am nothing. So I will push and fight!”
Jordi Gené – SEAT Léon TDi
“I am happy because I am faster than the BMW’s. They seemed to have some problems with the tires. But that can change tomorrow.”
Jörg Müller – BMW 320si E90
“The qualifying was ok! The car is working well, but on my last lap in the last corner I hit some traffic. If I was only three tenths faster I would have been in the top three.”
Duncan Huisman BMW 320si E90
“The qualifying was a disaster! In the second free practice I was sixth and we were optimistic. But I had some understeer in the slow corners. But I am optimistic for the race, the car is good in the long run.”
