SEAT to introduce old Audi for 2009?

According to our information SEAT will switch to a new model in the World Touring Car Championship next year. It seems like SEAT will switch to an old Audi. The new SEAT Exeo has just been revealed and it is most likely the designated model for WTCC. However, the Exeo is really not a new model, is the old Audi A4 (B7) with SEAT headlights, grille, interior details, etc.

The old A4 model was launched in 2001 (B6) and then received a facelift in 2005 (B7). The previous Swedish Touring Car Championship Audi-team, Kristoffersson Motorsport, ran three Audi A4 B6/7 during the years 2003 to 2008.

According to our information SEAT has bought one of Kristoffersson Motorsport’s old cars to study for their new racer.

But it seems as if the new SEAT will not be ready for the WTCC 2009 premiere, but delayed for a couple of races.
