BMW 1-2-3-4-5-6 in Monza warm up

Félix Porteiro headed the Monza warm up with the time 2:00.269. And the Spaniard had no less than five BMW-drivers behind him. Augusto Farfus Jr was second, Alessandro Zanardi third, Jörg Müller fourth, Andy Priaulx fifth and privateer Sergio Hernandez sixth. Best non BMW-man was Jordi Gené in seventh.

While BMW took the six first places, SEAT took places seven to ten. Tiago Monteiro was second fastest diesel-SEAT in eight ahead of Gabriele Tarquini in ninth and championship leader Yvan Muller in tenth.

Previous race winner James Thompson has struggled to find the pace in Italy. The Brit came home eleventh in the warm up-session, right ahead of Rickard Rydell in twelfth.
