Proteam Motorsport secures Team Trophy

Proteam Motorsport took the Yokohama Teams’ Trophy during the past World Touring Car Championship race at Monza. Despite it being two races left of the 2008 season, Proteams’ 119 points lead is too big for the second placed team Liqui Moly Team Engstler. This is the second consecutive title for Proteam Motorsport.

The drivers of the team Sergio Hernández and Stefano D’Aste are first and second in the Independents’ Trophy. Hernández leads with 22 points ahead of D’Aste.

Pierre-Yves Corthals is third, 14 points behind. Corthals won the first race at Monza but retired from the second after problems with the electronics in his car.
