Andre Couto joins N-Technology at Macau

James Thompson will get a new team mate for the World Touring Car Championship finale at Macau. The 31-year-old Macau-expert Andre Couto will replace Yukinori Taniguchi in the second Honda Accord.
“Macau has always been a special race for me and being given the opportunity to race there again with N.Technology is great,” said Couto.

“It’s a very demanding track, which commends a driver’s attention but everyone enjoys it greatly! Having seen what the car can do this year, I look forward to getting behind the wheel and seeing what James and I can do on these famous streets.”

Taniguchi took part for N-Technology in the previous race at Monza and will drive the coming race in Okayama, Japan. But for Macau N-Technology relies on Couto.

“André has raced with us on several occasions and we always welcome his collaboration. He is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to Macau and we look forward to having him compete with us again,” said team manager Andrea Muller.
