Farfus fastest in first Japanese test

Augusto Farfus has started the World Touring Car Championship weekend in Japan in a strong way. The BMW-man was fastest in the first test, setting a time of 1:38.371. Second fastest was BMW-man and reigning champion Andy Priaulx ahead of best SEAT-driver, Gabriele Tarquini.

Tarquini’s team mate Rickard Rydell claimed fourth best time ahead of Yvan Muller. Alain Menu was top Chevrolet-man in sixth with his opponent James Thompson in seventh.

Jörg Müller, Rob Huff and Tiago Monteiro rounded off top ten. The session went without no major difficulties, Chevrolet-new boy Manabu Orido went in to the gravel trap, Matthew Marsh and Ibrahim Okyay spun their cars and could continue.
