Hernandez joins BMW Team Italy-Spain

FIA World Touring Car Championship Independents champion Sérgio Hernandez will drive for the official BMW Team Italy-Spain, ROAL Motorsport, according to Sportmotores. Hernandez team mate will be legendary Alessandro Zanardi. Felix Porteiro looks set to leave the team after being Zanardi’s team mate during 2007 and 2008.

Hernandez took the independents title for Proteam Motorsport during the 2008 season. The driver that will replace him in that team is not announced yet.
