Valencia test picture special

The FIA World Touring Car Championship teams completed a test at the Valencia track in Spain. All manufacturer team were present during the test, Chevrolet, BMW and SEAT. The teams are on the way of getting ready to ship their cars for the WTCC 2009 premiere.

The first race takes place at the Curitiba-track in Brazil on March the 8th. Two weeks later the second race will be held in Mexico on the Puebla-track.

Virtually all works drivers took part in the test. Augusto Farfus got to drive the 2009 specification BMW 320si while Andy Priaulx still was driving a BMW with the 2008 exterior package.

SEAT worked hard on the adaptation of their diesel powered cars to the altered diesel regulations for the 2009 season.

“We have worked in Valencia with the aim to adapt our cars to the new regulations adopted for the 2009 season. Currently one of our main objectives is to ensure the car’s maximum reliability,” said SEAT Motorsport boss Jamie Puig.

The weather during the test was mostly fine with sunny conditions and good temperatures.
