Roberto Colciago to race in Italy
Roberto Colciago looks set to race in Italy for Seat Sport Italia in 2009. According to sources inside the team, the Italian is already confirmed to retain his works drive in the Campionato Italiano Turismo Endurance, trying to have a go at the title. The other Seat Sport Italia car will be driven by Valentina Albanese.
To focus even more on the works entry, Seat Sport Italia will not prepare the cars for the Italian Supercopa, but will still be involved in the organization of the trophy.
At the moment, about 20 entries are predicted for the 2009 Supercopa, helped by the fact the costs can be shared between two drivers.
Colciago won two Swedish crowns with Audi and Kristoffersson Motorsport. He took part in WTCC 2007 with Seat Sport Italia, before the team decided to focus on racing in its home country.
The Italian was recently linked to a possible comeback in the Swedish series, something that seems not to be happening.
