Andy Priaulx ready for new season
After losing his world title in 2008, Andy Priaulx is all geared up to take revenge in the 2009 season of the World Touring Car Championship. Priaulx, champion in 2005, 2006 and 2007, will be driving for Team BMW UK, like he has done for for the past six years. The car will again be prepaired by the Belgian company Racing Bart Mampay.

Priaulx was sad to lose the world championship title, after taking it in three consecutive years. The Brit also won the European Touring Car Championship in 2004. “The team worked hard in 2008 and it was not through lack of effort that the title went elsewhere. However, I know that the moment the last race was over in Macau Bart Mampaey and his amazing team of guys in Belgium were plotting how we could take our fifth title together,h Priaulx explains.
Andy Priaulx will be driving the latest version of the BMW 320si this season in the works team BMW Team UK. BMW UKfs General Manager Sports Marketing, Peter Walker, said: gI am delighted Andy will be out to regain his World Touring Car Championship title in the BMW Team UK, BMW 320si WTCC.”
