Lada are ready for WTCC debut

The Russian manufacturer Lada is getting ready for their first ever official World Touring Car Championship season. Lada Motorsport boss Vladislav Nezvankin feels that the WTCC is the perfect arena for Lada.
“The WTCC is not only a significant sporting event, but also a perfect communication field for world brands,” said Nezvankin.

As previously stated Lada will make the debut with the 110-model before introducing the Priora-model at the Brno-event.

“In our debut season, our main goal is to have consistent results in the middle of the grid. The LADA 110 cars used by the private “Russian Bears” team last season have been significantly modernized.

This modernization has allowed us to improve aerodynamics, speed, engine performance and drivability. We believe that these changes will have a certain effect,” said Nezvankin.

The replacement of cars in the middle of the season has been agreed with the WTCC organizers and will be conducted in compliance with technical regulations and homologation requirements according to Lada. The Priora-model is considered an “evolution” version of the 110-model.
