Race one results revised, penalties issued

The results of the first race have been revised, because some of the drivers received penalties. Four drivers in total were penalized, but the penalties most hurt Nicola Larini and Tiago Monteiro.

All drivers were penalized for overtaking before the start / finish line, after the safety car had left the track. Nicola Larini and Tiago Monteiro overtook Augusto Farfus, and lost the points they scored in the first race.

Larini finished the race in fifth, while Monteiro came across the line in eighth. After they received their 30 second penalty, the equivalent of a drive through, they were dropped back to 15th and 16th respectively.

Jaap van Lagen and George Tanev received the same penalty for the same infringement.

The penalties issued promoted Félix Porteiro to eighth and Andy Priaulx to seventh, which meant they could start from the first row on the grid.
