Mehdi Bennani joins Exagon at Marrakech

The FIA World Touring Car Championship will get its first ever North African driver. The 25 year old Mehdi Bennani is going to take part in the third WTCC race at Marrakech, Morroco. Bennani will drive a petrol powered SEAT Léon for Exagon Engineering.

Bennani’s previous racing experiences are mainly within single seaters. He has driven Formula Renault, Formula BMW, World Series by Renault and Euro F3000.

The race at Marrakech is the home even for Bennani who originates from Morroco. His drive is backed by OMNT, Morocco’s Tourism Office.
