Farfus starting to close in on Rydell

Rickard Rydell continues to be the man to beat in Mexico. Augusto Farfus was much closer this time, only 0.092 seconds behind. And BMW seem to have got up to speed. Jörg Müller claimed third, only 0.069 seconds beind his manufacturer colleague from Brazil.

Reigning champion Yvan Muller was fourth with team mate Gabriele Tarquini right behind him in fifth. The both were about two tenths slower than Rydell.

Andy Priaulx was sixth ahead of lead independents driver Félix Porteiro. Final SEAT works driver Tiago Monteiro was eigth with Tom Coronel and Alessandro Zanardi right behind.

Nicola Larini was once again best Chevrolet driver in 11th. His team mates did not manage to get up to speed, Robert Huff was 17th and Alain Menu 20th.

Jaap van Lagen was as usual best Lada driver. His best time was 1:40.718 which put him 15th, 1.7 seconds slower than Rydell.
