Mehdi Bennani completes first test

Mehdi Bennani completed his first test ahead of his FIA World Touring Car Championship debut at Marrakech, Africa. Team boss Luc Marchetti and team manager Cathy Muller, her brother is Yvan Muller, watched the test closely.
“Yvan was very generous in giving Mehdi advice. I have to say that we were all impressed by the way this young driver was able to quickly adapt himself to the car and also by the interesting feedback he gave,” said Marchetti.

The young Moroccan driver completed many laps at the French track Magny Cours to be ready for his debut at the first weekend of May.

“Obviously it will take some times to be competitive in such a tough championship, but I’m sure Mehdi has the potential to do well,” Marchetti commented.

The SEAT Léon Bennani is driving is petrol powered compared to the diesel powered SEAT’s of the factory team.
